A Better Treat began with Boris Chung and his golden doodle, Emi. When Emi struggled with health issues, Boris found himself frustrated by how difficult it was to find simple, high-quality food made with ingredients he could truly trust. That search inspired him to create something better for Emi—and eventually, for pets everywhere.

What started in Boris's own kitchen became A Better Treat, a health-first pet company focused on freeze-dried raw, single-ingredient treats and dog food.
